San Sebastian - Pintxos Photos

Most people know that tapas are Spanish snack size portions.  You can eat a couple for a snack or several to make it a meal.  Pintxo is the Basque term used in Northern Spain.  Pintxos can come ready made and presented on the bar for you to fill your plate with or there might be a menu that you can order from where hot pintxos are freshely prepared for your order.

Personally, I think the hot pintxos are better quality and value.  To give you a feel for San Sebastian pintxo eating, check out the pictures below.  There are scores of pintxos bars over Old Town in San Sebastian.  Some serve only cold pintxos, some serve only hot pintxos, some serve a mix of hot and cold.

  2. Single serving pintxo portions cost 1.50 to 4 euro for one portion. For 14-25 euro, you can probably max out what you want to eat and drink.
